JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jaguars released veteran defensive end Red Bryant, the club announced today.
Bryant has played seven seasons in the NFL and joined the Jaguars as a veteran free agent in 2014. He started all 16 games in 2014 and totaled 22 tackles (15 solo), one sack, one forced fumble and two tackles for loss.

With Wednesday's signing of DE Jared Odrick, as well as the re-signings of Tyson Alualu and Ryan Davis, there were more than a dozen defensive linemen on the roster before Bryant's release.
