U.S. not overlooking Jamaica in Gold Cup Semi.

Both teams have 3-0-1 record in Gold Cup

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The only thing standing between the U.S. Men's National team and a spot in the 2015 CONCACAF Golf Cup finals is a meeting against Jamaica. The U.S. has reached the semifinals in 12 of the previous Gold Cup tournaments and will face Jamaica on Wednesday at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Ga.

So far team USA and Jamaica have an identical 3-0-1 record in this tournament. This will be the fourth time these two countries have met in the Gold Cup, the USA has a perfect 3-0-0 record in the previous meetings.

"We know that this game on Wednesday night will put us in a position to compete in the final and that's what we want," said U.S. goal keeper Brad Guzan. "We need to make sure we take care of business tomorrow and we'll worry about the weekend when we get there."

3 things you need to know heading into this match:

-Clint Dempsey has been on fire of late. He recorded a hat trick in the USA's last match against Cuba. Dempsey has scored six goals in this tournament and has seven goals in his last five international matches.

-A win against Jamaica would allow the USA to defend its Gold Cup trophy and confirm its spot at the 2017 Confederations Cup.

-Gyasi Zardes has filled the void left by Jozy Altidore who was released from the squad following the group stage. Altidore wasn't 100-percent healthy and his absence gave Jürgen Klinsmann a good chance to see what the 23-year-old Zardes can do.
