Storms, security forces Friday football reschedule

Fletcher at Sandalwood game moved to Saturday morning

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – High school football kicks off this week for Sandalwood High School and Fletcher High School. However, the first game of the season has been moved to Saturday morning as weather and security pose an issue.

News4Jax spoke to the athletic director at Sandalwood High School who says that storms predicted for Friday night are just one reason the game has been moved. The school was also not able to get enough police officers at the game which fell on the same night as the Jacksonville Jaguars preseason game.
