JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – With Blake Bortles suffering from a Grade 1 AC joint sprain in his right shoulder the Jaguars have signed Jeff Tuel to the team's practice squad. The move was likely made to have another quarterback available if Bortles is unable to practice on Wednesday.
Tuel is no stranger to the Jaguars after spending the 2015 training camp with the team before being released on Aug. 29. Tuel is in his second season and has played in two regular season games (one start). He was since originally signed as an undrafted free agent by Buffalo in 2013.
There was an opening on the practice squad after LB Jordan Tripp was promoted to the active roster prior to Sunday's game at Tampa Bay.
