Jaguars place Toby Gerhart on injured reserve

Running back is likely done in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jaguars placed sixth-year running back Toby Gerhart on injured reserve today.

Gerhart has missed three games this year with a groin injury and has been a healthy scratch twice.

The free-agent signing in 2014 had pedestrian numbers for the Jaguars. He rushed 20 times for 44 yards this season and added three catches for 23 yards. In 2014 in 14 games Gerhart rushed for 326 yards and two touchdowns.

Gerhart's time in Jacksonville is likely done with the emergence of T.J. Yeldon and the fact he will not cost the Jaguars any dead money on next year's cap.
