Florida topped FSU 3-2 at the Baseball Grounds in front of 9,035 fans Tuesday night.
The Gators have now won the first two meetings between the teams this year. The same two teams will wrap up the season series April 12 in Tallahassee.
The Gators have now won 9 of the last 11 matchups between the rivals.
The Seminoles took the early lead when Cal Raleigh hit a solo home run in the top of the first.
The Gators would take the lead for good in the bottom of the 2nd when Mike Rivera hit a two run home run to give Florida a 2-1 lead.
Florida would extend the lead to 3-1 when Budy Reed tripled home Jonathan India in the bottom of the third.
FSU added an unearned run in the top of the eighth but that's as close as the Seminoles would get on the night.
The Gators are now 24-3 and face No. 1 Texas A&M this weekend in Gainesville.
FSU falls to 18-6 and will travel to Boston College this weekend.
