Former Gator Grier finds new home

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Former Florida quarterback Will Grier will transfer to West Virginia, according to multiple reports.

Due to NCAA transfer rules, Grier will have to sit out the 2016 season. He can return to the field in 2017 as a redshirt junior.

The former Gator led Florida to a 6-0 record this past season, before being suspended for one calendar year after testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance. After Grier’s suspension the Gators went 4-4 the rest of the 2015 season.

Grier would’ve been eligible to return for the Gators seventh game of the 2016 season, but announced his decision to transfer in December.
