When Nick Chubb injured his knee last season, Michel stepped into the starting lineup and led the Bulldogs in rushing with 1,161 yards and eight touchdowns.

Chubb is expected to return at some point next season. Georgia opens the 2016 season on Sept. 3 against North Carolina.

Elijah Holyfield, Brendan Douglas and Brian Herrien are the next running backs on the depth chart.
