Bortles, Posluszny named Jaguars captains

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jaguars have named their captains for the 2016 season. Gus Bradley announced on Monday that the team has voted on quarterback Blake Bortles as the offensive captain, middle linebacker Paul Posluszny for the defense and long snapper Carson Tinker as the special teams captain.

Bradley also mentioned that nearly 25 different players received votes and how that speaks to the leadership inside their locker room. The fact that Bortles, Posluszny and Tinker were chosen doesn’t come as a surprise. All three players were logical decisions.
