Seniors celebrated at Orange Park High football game

Reflect on time spent on field, sidelines

ORANGE PARK, Fla. – Orange Park High School celebrated its senior night at the football game Friday.

For the senior football players, life goals and dreams are on the horizon.

“It doesn’t really seem real yet until I step on the field for the last time and last game," senior player Garrett Goodbread said.

Senior players reflected on the times they have spent out on the Orange Park High School football field.

“It makes you look back at what you had when you were younger. It just went by really fast," Goodbread said.

The game was a night to celebrate all of the seniors, on the field and on the sidelines.

Senior Brandon Leporati took advantage of the opportunity to sing the national anthem for the first time at Friday's game. He also cheered on the sidelines at one of his last games of the year.

“It’s a lot easier senior year, but it’s also stressful because it’s college applications, it’s work and everything stacking up. It’s quite fun, though," Leporati said.

Senior Kealy Terrell celebrated senior night as Orange Park's captain of the Raiderette dance team.

“To be a senior on the dance team is really special to me, also because I’m captain, so I get to help the other girls on the team find their passion through dance just like I have a passion for dance.”

Terrell is looking toward the future and hopes to be a teacher one day. She hopes to get her degree from Florida State University.

It's crunch time to figure out where many of the soon-to-be graduates will be going to college.

For many of the seniors, the days are flying by and it's all about making the memories.

“It’s really exciting because I’m almost done with high school and I get to go to college and cheer, but it’s sad because this is my last year of high school," Terrell said.
