JAXSPORTS announces details, traffic updates ahead of game day

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – This weekend’s iconic Navy-Notre Dame game will take place at EverBank Field.

Kickoff is set for 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

Both Navy and Notre Dame are among the most historic programs in college football history. Saturday will be the 90th straight year that they've battled each other.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to host a game with so much tradition and patriotism surrounding it,” said JAXSPORTS President and CEO Rick Catlett. “Jacksonville is a military town, and our community has really embraced this experience. Whether you’re a fan of either school, or just a proud American, there will be something for everyone at the game.”

Traffic is expected to be heavy on game day with many fans traveling to Jacksonville from out of town. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is encouraging fans to arrive early. EverBank Field parking lots will open Saturday at 7 a.m. and gates open at 9:30 a.m.
