Georgia will be bowl eligible with win over Auburn

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Georgia will become bowl eligible with a win over No. 8 Auburn on Saturday. The Bulldogs (5-4, 3-4) are coming off a last second 27-24 win at Kentucky last week. Meanwhile the Tigers (7-2, 5-1) control their own destiny in the SEC West Division and still has another conference game remaining against No. 1 Alabama.

Auburn is hoping to have running back Kamryn Pettway available on Saturday. Last week the SEC’s leading rusher hurt his left leg during the Tigers 23-16 win over Vanderbilt.

Georgia coach Kirby Smart, who recruited Pettway as Alabama's defensive coordinator, said Auburn will bring a strong running game to Athens, no matter who starts at running back.

"We have to prepare as if he's going to be there," Smart said. "If he's there or not, they're going to be able to run the ball, trust me. They did it at the beginning of the year sometimes without him."
