Tommy Grady named NAL offensive player of the week

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The National Arena League announced on Wednesday that Sharks quarterback Tommy Grady earned Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in in the Sharks (2-0) home opener against the Georgia Firebirds.

Grady, who is in his eighth season in arena football, continues to post prolific numbers in this his third season with the Sharks. During Saturday’s win over the Firebirds, Grady competed 12 of 19 passes for 161 yards and five touchdowns.

Grady is currently leading the league with 70.5% completion percentage and a 152.5 QBR.  Currently Grady is the only starting quarterback in the NAL to not throw an interception this season.

This week, Grady will face off against Lehigh Valley Steelhawks quarterback Warren Smith Jr. who is currently tied for first in the league for total offensive touchdowns. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. on Saturday at Veterans Memorial Arena.
