JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – NBA Draft night came and went without Devin Robinson hearing his name called. However, according to multiple reports the former Florida Gator has earned a spot on the Washington Wizards summer league team.
Several mock drafts had Robinson being selected in the second round, after he left Gainesville a year early. As a junior Robinson helped the Gators reach the Elite Eight. At 6-foot-8 and a long wingspan, Robinson has the size to be a NBA wing. He averaged 11.1 points, 6.1 rebounds and just under a block a game this past season.
Robinson’s former Gator teammate Canyon Barry also found a summer league home. Like Robinson, Barry also went undrafted but has landed on the New York Knicks summer league roster.
Barry, a 6’6” guard/forward, averaged 11.4 points and 2.8 rebounds per game in his lone season with Florida.
For the second consecutive year, the Knicks will participate in the Orlando Pro Summer League from July 1-6. Robinson will play in the Las Vegas Summer League, which runs from July 7-17.
