JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Over the weekend the Bolles Boy’s cross country team qualified for the Nike Cross Nationals. They are only the second team from the area (Episcopal Girls in 2005) and the 5th boys’ team from Florida in the history of the event, which will be held in Portland, Oregon on Dec. 2nd.

"We've been working ourselves to death,” said Bolles junior Charles Hicks in an interview with milesplit.com. “People told us we couldn't. But fantastic leadership and structure from our coaches got us to this point."

On Saturday the race will begin at 1:05 eastern and can be streamed here for free online

Representing Bolles in the Pacific Northwest will be:

Charles Hicks

Chase Rivera

John Bowers

Ben Foltz

Alex Hastings

George Lewis

Kamren Khan

Although Bolles traditionally goes with the nickname of the Bulldogs that will change for Nationals. All teams selected to Nationals were asked to pick a team name that represented their city. The Bolles cross country team elected to go with the name “Duval” to show appreciation for the best season the Jacksonville Jaguars have had had in the past decade.
