Beyond that, there is no official word from the Steelers or comment from Brown.  ESPN's Adam Schefter tweeted shortly after that his source confirms that Brown has officially asked the Steelers for a trade.

Steelers president Art Rooney II hinted at the possibility of a trade for Brown in an interview in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.  After Brown skipped practices and meetings in the week leading up to the Steelers regular season finale Rooney II said, "We’re not going to release him. That’s not on the table. But I will say all other options are on the table."
