JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Unfazed by the threat of Tropical Storm Nate, Florida State University plans to play its rivalry football game against Miami as scheduled Saturday.

The program announced that decision in a tweet Thursday afternoon about 30 minutes after Gov. Rick Scott declared a state of emergency for 29 counties, including Leon where Tallahassee lies.

In a statement, FSU vice president and athletics director Stan Wilcox said recent updates on the storm's path informed the university's decision.

The game at Doak Campbell Stadium was originally scheduled for Sept. 16 but that contest was postponed due to Hurricane Irma.
