SE Georgia ready for the start of HS Football

St. Simons, GA – On Thursday the Jacksonville Jaguars will open training camp for the start of the 2017 season. That also means we're just a couple of weeks away from Friday night football.

On Saturday in St. Simons Island, Georgia In the game magazine hosted their third annual South East Georgia high school football media day. Over 15 schools were represented by their coaches and players.

“We talk to our kids about having elite character and being an elite program,” said Ware County coach Franklin Stevens. “It’s hard to be at your best everyday but those are our expectations.”

All of these teams have been putting in work in the weight room since the spring. Finally it's time to put on the pads because that season opener is less than a month away.

“We want to build a championship mindset with everything we do,” said Brunswick football coach Sean Pender. “Not only on the football field but we want these guys to be champions in life.”
