Sharks' Grady named NAL Offensive Player Of The Week

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The National Arena League announced on Wednesday that Sharks quarterback Tommy Grady earned Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season due to his standout performance last week against the High Country Grizzlies.


Grady was a crucial part of the Sharks’ 41-0 lead going into halftime against High Country including five touchdowns in the first half. Grady finished the night throwing 10 completed passes on 14 attempts for 217 yards in only playing just over a half of football. Grady now has a total of 19 touchdowns this season.

With this award, Grady has become the first QB in the NAL to become a two-time winner of weekly honors. Grady currently leads in the league with a QBR of 108.5 and is the league leader in passing yards with 893. The Sharks quarterback has helped lead the Sharks to an undefeated record so far this season. Grady also has thrown the least interceptions out of any starting quarterback in the league.


For Grady’s next game, he and the Sharks will face off against the undefeated Monterrey Steel (3-0) at Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico on April 24.
