Sam Saunders delivers Thanksgiving baskets to Angelwood group homes

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – This year marks the PGA TOUR’s 20th annual staff Thanksgiving basket drive for Northeast Florida families in need. Earlier this month, staff members prepared more than 200 bags filled with food for the holidays.

On Monday a portion of those baskets, some of which include turkeys and hams, were delivered to Angelwood for their group homes by PGA TOUR staff and TOUR player Sam Saunders and his wife, Kelly.

“We want them to know that this community cares about them,” said Saunders when asked why this cause was so dear to his heart. “Being part of the THE PLAYERS and the PGA Tour we know how fortunate we are to get to do what we do. We hope these families feel like we care about them and we’re grateful for their support. Hopefully this makes them feel like they’ve got a group of people that care about them on this Thanksgiving.”
