Tiger Woods announces his return to golf

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – It’s been nine months since Tiger Woods last played competitive golf. That will change next month at the 2017 Hero World Challenge, held on Nov. 30 – Dec. 3 at Albany, Bahamas.

“I am excited to return to competitive golf at the Hero World Challenge,” said Woods in a statement Monday. “Albany is the perfect setting and it will be great to join this outstanding field. I want to thank Pawan Munjal and Hero MotoCorp for their continued support of this tournament and my foundation. I would also like to thank the fans for their unwavering support during my injury.”

Woods was recently cleared by doctors to resume playing golf following his latest back injury. 
Joining Woods in the star studded field for the Hero World Challenge include the likes of Dustin Justin, Jordan Spieth, Jason Day and Justin Thomas.
