PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. - The Players Championship has introduced updated bag and autograph policies for fans for this year's tournament.

Fans will be allowed to bring their own food (but not beverages) onto the course. The food must be in a 1 gallon clear, plastic bag and wrapped in clear wrap. Fans can purchase Players-branded clear bags at 25 participating Daily's convenience stores for a $5 donation to The First Tee of Northeast Florida.

Opaque bags sized 6x6x6 inches or smaller will also be permitted on the grounds.

If you've been to a Jaguars game in the last couple years, The Players' new bag and food policy might seem familiar. The Jaguars instituted a similar policy in 2012 for games at EverBank Field.

The Players has also updated its autograph policy. Golfers will only sign autographs at designated "Autograph Areas," not on the course, during practice rounds and tournament competition. Fans can find players before or after their rounds in the "Autograph Areas" located at the front section of the practice range and by the scoring area behind the Clubhouse.

To help fans find their favorite players for autographs, a social media campaign will alert fans through Twitter when marquee players are heading to the range to warm up for their practice round or are entering the Autograph Areas.

Social media caddies will also provide updates on players' locations throughout their practice rounds so fans can better locate and follow their favorite players on the course and catch them in the Autograph Areas afterward.
Because Tuesday is typically the best day for fans to get autographs and photos of their favorite players before the start of competition and the larger crowds, Tuesday has again been designated as "Pens, Pics and Players Day."

Fans are encouraged to visit the Autograph Areas outside the front section of the practice range and behind the Clubhouse scoring area to catch a glimpse of their favorite players, snap a photo and score an autograph.
