Seven of the club's nine games away from EverBank Field are outside the Eastern Time Zone with trips to Denver (2,880), Oakland (4,700), St. Louis (1,506), Seattle (4,880), Houston (1,628), Tennessee (968) and London (8,480).
In 18 seasons, the Jaguars have had at least one game on the west coast in nine seasons (1996, 1997, 2001, 2004, 2005, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013).
Head Coach Gus Bradley had these comments on the schedule:
"I think this is a fair and very competitive schedule that our fans and players will enjoy. Every game in the NFL is a challenge and this is the only day we want to look ahead and see our opponents. We want our players to focus on the present and get better each day. I know we are all excited to be kicking off the season at home in front of our fans. The back-to-back west coast games are a great opportunity for our young players and our team as a whole to bond right away. We will most likely stay on the west coast following the Raiders game so we will be spending a lot of time together. Obviously you have four of the first six away from EverBank Field and that will be a great challenge for our guys. We just finished a great three-day minicamp and to get the schedule today just culminates a great week for the Jaguars."
