JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – On Friday the Jacksonville Jaguars claimed safety Calvin Pryor off waivers from Cleveland and signed offensive lineman Josh Walker. Those moves coincided with the Jaguars releasing OL early Watford and placing WR Dede Westbrook on injured reserve.
Pryor was released by the Browns on Thursday, reportedly following a fight with a teammate. Jacksonville will be Pryor’s third stop in just over the last three months. The New York Jets traded the former first round pick (No. 18 overall in 2014) to Cleveland in June.

John Idzik, who is currently the Jaguars special assistant to the General Manager, drafted Pryor while serving as the GM of the Jets. Pryor had 62 tackles and six passes defended in 2016 for the Jets.
He will likely compete to back up Tashaun Gipson and Barry Church who both start at safety for the Jaguars.
Walker, 6-5, 330, has appeared in 15 career games and has previously spent time with Houston, Green Bay and Indianapolis. Walker appeared in one game for the Texans in 2016 after being elevated to the active roster from the practice squad on Nov. 8, 2016. Prior to joining the Texans, Walker played in 13 games for the Packers during the 2015 season, seeing action on offense and special teams.
