Jaguars DE Dante Fowler Jr. holds 1st Holiday Event

Fowler provides Christmas presents to nearly 50 kids

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Christmas came a week early for nearly 50 Jacksonville area youth. Jaguars defensive end Dante Fowler Jr. brought holiday cheer to the Sable Palms Housing Community by providing dinner, music and gifts for children and their families.

Fowler is having a career year in this his third season with the Jaguars. Through 14 games he has a career-high 7.5 sacks and two forced fumbles. The former Florida Gator also admits that he’s matured off the field as well and felt that now was the right time to give back to a community that’s shown him so much support.

“It feels so good to be able to come out here and give back to the kids,” said Fowler. “At the end of the day everybody isn’t fortunate enough to have a Christmas. For me to be able to give even one kid a present, make their day and their Christmas. That means the world to me.”
