“It means the world to me,” said Linder. “I’d love to play here my whole career. I fell in love with this city and we have big things coming, changing the culture, and now we start tomorrow for training camp. I couldn’t think of a better place to play my career.”

Linder, the team’s third-round selection (93rd overall) in 2014, has started all 31 games in which he’s played. Linder made the transition from right guard to center prior to the 2016 season and started 14 games last year.

“Brandon has proven on the field that he is capable of highly productive performances, and this is a high performance business,” said Jaguars Executive Vice President of Football Operations Tom Coughlin. “We look for his continued leadership development as an anchor of our offensive line. Brandon has earned this new contract and the high expectations that go with it.”

Linder attended the University of Miami, just 45 minutes south of his hometown of Southwest Ranches, Fla. While at Miami, Linder started all four years, making 37 starts at RG, three at C and two at LT. As a senior in 2013, Linder was named the team’s Most Valuable Player after leading the school with a 90-percent grade for blocking efficiency, 11 TD-resulting blocks and 84 knockdowns. Linder was the first player from the University of Miami to be drafted by the Jaguars.

Prior to enrolling at Miami, Linder starred at the prestigious St. Thomas Aquinas H.S. in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., earning U.S. Army All-America honors following his senior season. During his tenure at St. Thomas Aquinas, Linder led the team to a 28-1 record during his junior and senior seasons, including a Class 5A state title as a junior.
