Leonard Fournette out for Jaguars game against Colts

The Jaguars running back injured his ankle last week against the Rams

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette has officially been ruled out for today’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Earlier this week Fournette said his ankle feels good and he "most definitely" would be healthy enough to play Sunday at Indianapolis.

The rookie running back did not practice this week after spraining his right ankle late in last Sunday’s loss to the Rams.

With Fournette less than 100 percent the Jaguars don’t want to take any chances. Chris Ivory will get the start at running back and T.J. Yeldon will also be active for the first time this season.
The Jaguars have a bye next week and would like to give Fournette the extra rest.

Center Brandon Linder will also miss his third straight game due to an illness. Tyler Shatley will start in his place.
