JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jaguars have cut special-teams ace and wide receiver Kassim Osgood.

The move saves almost $3 million in cap room for the Jaguars.  With the new rules regarding kickoffs and punt coverage, Osgood's salary was too expensive for the position.

Osgood, always a fan favorite and frequent poster to twitter broke the news to his followers: "Well I had a great experience in Jacksonville.  Good people, good fans, great city!  I will not be a Jaguar next season, the show must go on."

The Jaguars also released offensive lineman Kevin Haslam Tuesday.
