Kelly Wiley, an award-winning investigative reporter, joined the News4Jax I-Team in June 2019. Wiley began working as a journalist in Augusta, Georgia, in 2015 as an anchor and investigative reporter with WRDW's I-TEAM. There she uncovered one of the largest school districts in her area hiring bus drivers with criminal histories and histories of traffic violations. Her investigative series, Invisible Barriers, uncovered the poor conditions and lack of sidewalks in Augusta. It also exposed the difficulty people with disabilities were having getting to polling locations. Her stories prompted the board of elections to consider changing more than one polling place. Her investigations have earned her an Emmy nomination and two Associated Press awards for best investigative series and best specialized reporting. Wiley was also awarded the Excellence in My Market Award for Best General Assignment Reporter by the Southeast Emmy chapter. When Kelly is not working, you’ll find her enjoying the beaches, watching the Great British Baking Show and trying to make her home look like a Joana Gaines design.
