Lake City police searching for 5 burglary suspects
LAKE CITY, Fla. โ Police are asking the publicโs help Saturday identifying five suspects seen on surveillance video burglarizing Buddyโs Home Furnishings, the Lake City Police Department said. The burglary was the second attempt at the location in the past two days, police said. The surveillance video shows five suspects dressed in hoodies enter the store and run straight to the front counter. One of the suspects was seen putting an item in a black back. Anyone with information is asked to call Lake City police at 386-752-4343 and ask for investigator Kevin Johns or the supervisor on duty.
Starke couple charged with child neglect after 3-year-old found wandering alone
STARKE, Fla. โ A Bradford County couple were arrested Wednesday morning after their 3-year-old son was found wandering alone outside an apartment complex, the Starke Police Department said. Hannah Hall, 24, and Justin Mayberry, 22, both face felony child neglect charges. Police were called and eventually spoke to Hall and Mayberry, who both told officers that they fell asleep and had no idea their 3-year-old had left their third-floor apartment by himself. News4Jax crime and safety analyst Gil Smith said the couple could have done more to keep their child safe. The manager told officers that the complex had a new chain installed to prevent this from happening again.

The same night Hill was injured a young boy was also shot in the foot from celebratory gun fire.
