Playground dedication honors 3-year-old who drowned at Jacksonville park
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. โ A dedication ceremony was held Friday afternoon at Bruce Park in Arlington where a new playground was named in honor of Amari Harley, the 3-year-old who drowned in 2017 after falling into an unsecured septic tank at the park. The Harley family and the city honored the toddler by holding a dedication ceremony for a new playground at Bruce Park. โJust being able to bring his brothers and sisters out to the Amari Harley Playground. AdMonths after Amari died, the city spent $837,525 to replace city parksโ septic tank lids. We grew up in this park,โ Amariโs grandfather, Ronald Kelsey, told News4Jax.

FHP: Motorcyclist killed, passenger badly hurt in Flagler County crash
A 56-year-old motorcyclist was killed Sunday in Flagler County when his bike collided with a pickup truck. Travis Erin Stewart, of Palm Coast, and his 53-year-old female passenger were thrown off the Harley when the truck driver turned left into their path, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The crash was reported around 8:45 p.m. on Belle Terre Parkway at Ponce Deleon Drive. Stewart died at the scene and the passenger, whose name has not been released, suffered critical injuries. The driver and passenger in the truck were not injured.
