The Jacksonville Sheriffโs Office has completed its internal investigation into the actions of four officers on the night Louis Nix III the third was last heard from, and investigators have sustained complaints against all four officers.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. โ Two officers with the Jacksonville Sheriffโs Office were suspended after an internal investigation into an altercation with a woman outside a downtown bar last year. Dennis Sullivan and Hunter Sullivan โ father and son, respectively โ were both suspended after a JSO Internal Affairs investigation found they both acted with unbecoming conduct during the November scuffle. Dennis Sullivan received a 25-day suspension and Hunter Sullivan got 15 days. According to the internal investigation, a woman got too drunk at the JAX Post bar in downtown Jacksonville and when Beavers and Weinberger brought her outside, she got sick. Jacksonville police officer skipped patrol to pursue women
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - News4Jax is learning new details about the sordid allegations that led a Jacksonville Sheriffs officer to resign in the wake of an internal investigation. Ultimately, the internal investigation determined that Officer LeGard traveled to multiple locations while on-duty to visit women when he was supposed to be on patrol. Two women told police that LeGard paid them for sex in encounters that supposedly place at a hotel and Northside apartment. Even though the officer denied those allegations, he acknowledged that he brought two other women to the apartment. Sheriffs Office spokesperson Christian Hancock told News4Jax that prosecutors decided against pursuing criminal charges for LeGard, citing the low likelihood of a conviction.
Jacksonville officer resigns amid prostitution allegations
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A Jacksonville police officer accused of soliciting prostitution tendered his resignation on Thursday, according to a statement from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. Officer Joseph LeGard was the subject of a year-long Internal Affairs investigation. Internal Affairs recommended that Legard be fired and Sheriff Mike Williams agreed. The Sheriff's Office will document the officer's departure from the agency, which will be reviewed by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Sheriff: Officer accused of soliciting prostitution will be fired
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - An officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office accused of soliciting prostitution has been told he will be fired by Sheriff Mike Williams. Records show Internal Affairs sustained in-house complaints against Legard of soliciting prostitution, departure from the truth, falsifying records, misuse of computer software, failure to conform to work standards and failure to take action. Internal Affairs recommended that Legard be fired and Williams agreed. News4Jax has requested the Internal Affairs report, which is in the process of being redacted for release. He has prior Internal Affairs findings of improper action (2009) and failure to conform to work standards (2016).
