Man shot several times behind Moncrief Road convenience store dies
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. โ Police said the sound of gunfire picked up by Shot Spotter brought police to a convenience store on Moncrief Road at Golfair Boulevard about 1 p.m. Friday. Homicide detectives said a man shot multiple times behind the business ran a short distance before collapsing. Adam Blinn said the gunman was seen leaving in a white Volvo sedan, heading north on Moncrief. Blinn said the two men knew each other and agreed to meet there. Detectives investigating Friday night shooting on Northside
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. Jacksonville Sheriffs Office responded to a Shot Spotter call at an apartment complex on the Northside, around 11:00 p.m. Friday night. Shortly after receiving that Shot Spotter call, JSO was contacted about a shooting at the Vista Landing Apartments on Cleveland Road. Responding officers found a single victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his elbow. He was taken to a hospital for treatment. Police have not released any suspect details, but detectives are working to learn more.
Police: 2 teens wounded in Moncrief drive-by shooting
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Two teenage boys were wounded in a drive-by shooting early Monday evening in the Moncrief area of Northwest Jacksonville, the Jacksonville's Sheriff's Office said. Shot Spotter alerted police about 5:45 p.m. to gunfire on West 27th Street, just west of Moncrief Road. Both teens were taken to a hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The Sheriff's Office continues to investigate.
