Alaska Airlines flight diverted after threat by passenger

Flight 411 was diverted to Kansas City after a "combative, unruly passenger" threatened crew members and "threatened the safety of the aircraft," according to a statement. Once the aircraft landed, the passenger was taken into custody by law enforcement, Alaska Airlines said, and crew members were interviewed. The flight was expected to continue to Los Angeles.
Water quality on planes has been studied

They tied for last among major airlines in the study, which came out at the end of August. Airlines are required to provide safe drinking water for passengers and crew because of the Aircraft Drinking Water Rule, a federal government policy which dates back to 2011. The criteria for the study included fleet size, the number of Aircraft Drinking Water Rule violations, results of water sample reports and how cooperative the airlines were in providing answers to questions about water quality.
Airline employee at Newark airport causes hundreds to flee gate
NEWARK, N.J. - Inside the Newark Liberty International Airport Monday night, an Alaska Airlines employee spotted two men who she thought looked suspicious. When the employee approached them, the men started running and she screamed "evacuate," a source with knowledge of the incident told CNN, based on preliminary information. One passenger told CNN affiliate WPIX the experience was "terrifying." The passenger told the affiliate they ran with the crowds, hid under seats and looked for an exit. The employee is still being questioned, Coleman added.
