Driver, 25, killed in East Arlington crash
Police: Driver was speeding on Kernan Blvd.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 25-year-old man died in a single-vehicle crash in East Arlington early Thursday morning.
Jacksonville police said Joseph Adcock was driving a white pickup truck and was speeding on Kernan Boulevard about 1 a.m.
Police said he was driving north and traveled across oncoming lanes of traffic, drove back into the northbound lanes, then overturned.
Police said Adcock was partially ejected from the truck and was trapped under it. He died at the scene.
Both lanes of Kernan Boulevard were closed from Kernan Forest Boulevard to Crabapple Cove Drive for three hours while police investigated.
The truck was towed away and all lanes were reopened by 6:45 a.m.
