Woman, 51, killed in Keystone Heights crash
KEYSTONE HEIGHTS, Fla. – A 51-year-old Keystone Heights woman died in a two-car crash late Thursday night, according to the Clay County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said Angela Cook was driving westbound in the 7700 block of State Road 100 without headlights on about 11:15 p.m.
Her car veered into the eastbound lane and struck another vehicle traveling east, deputies said. They said Cook's car then hit a fence, and she was thrown into the passenger side of the car. Cook was not wearing a seat belt.
She was taken to Shands Starke Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
Deputies said they don't know why the headlights were not on or if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
Christina Hall, 34, the driver of the other vehicle, was taken to Shands Medical Center in Gainesville with non-life-threatening injuries.
