69-year-old killed crossing I-95

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 69-year-old man was struck by two cars and died Saturday night while trying to cross Interstate 95 near the Golfair Boulevard exit.

The man's identity was not immediately released, pending next-of-kin notification.

The Florida Highway Patrol said two cars driving south about 7:45 p.m. hit the man as he was crossing the highway. Neither driver nor passengers in those cars were injured.

Lanes were closed for several hours following the crash. They have since reopened.
