JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A crash on I-95 northbound near University Boulevard tied up traffic and led to a secondary crash in the southbound lanes, Tuesday morning.
The Florida Highway Patrol reports a semi-truck and a car crashed in the northbound lanes around 3:30 a.m., hitting a light pole in the process. Both drives in the crash managed to make it out of the accident without any injuries. The crash did shut down all lanes for close to an hour.
A driver in the southbound lanes tells News4Jax she was traveling in the middle lane when a light pole from the northbound side fell in front of her. She ran over the light pole, which led to a second crash on I-95 south. Two passengers in her car were taken to the hospital.
