FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – A motorcyclist is dead after striking a truck and trailer Saturday afternoon at State Road 100 and County Road 305.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the motorcyclist was driving west on State Road 100 behind a Chevy Silverado pulling a trailer when he began an attempt to pass the truck in a no-passing zone.

Troopers said the motorcyclist struck the truck as it was making a left turn onto CR 305.
The motorcyclist, only identified as a 67-year-old Palatka man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck and a passenger were not injured.
Troopers continue investigating.
