PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. – A man died early Sunday morning in a car accident on US 17 south of Sungarden Road, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Roger Mcdaniel, 34, of Palatka, died just before 3 a.m. Sunday after he was partially thrown from his car in the accident, FHP said.

Macdaniel was traveling southbound on US 17 when for unknown reasons he crossed the center median, traveled across all northbound lanes, then overturned in the northbound ditch, FHP said.
Macdaniel was pronounced dead on the scene, FHP said.
