FHP: Rear-end collision backs up northbound traffic during evening commute

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Three people suffered minor injuries in a rear-end collision early Friday evening on northbound Interstate 295 near Roosevelt Boulevard, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The crash, which was reported just after 5 p.m., blocked several northbound lanes for nearly an hour.

Troopers said a Chevy with four occupants hit the back of a Dodge Durango.

There were five people involved, but only three were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to FHP.
