JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man died Tuesday when he ran a traffic light driving a non-street-legal dirt bike and crashed into a car, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.
At 5:58 p.m., Allen Powell, 26, was driving a dirt bike eastbound on McCormick Road without a headlight, when he ran the traffic light at the intersection of Mount Pleasant Road, officials said.

Powell crashed into the right rear door of a Ford Explorer turning left, officials said. The crash threw Powell through the backseat window of the Explorer and into the backseat.
Powell was taken to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries.
