JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol responded to a serious crash before dawn Tuesday on Interstate 10 eastbound 2 miles east of Highway 301. The on ramp from U.S. 301 to I-10 east was blocked during the investigation. Lanes reopened around 5:20 a.m.
A viewer told News4Jax that at least one car was on its roof.

This is the same area where we have seen three very serious crashes in the past few months. Two women were killed in two of those crashes.
On Monday, News4Jax took concerns over that stretch of highway to the Florida Department of Transportation.
Currently, there are more than $1 billion worth of active construction projects underway in the Jacksonville area.
Officials said there is no correlation between these recent crashes and the construction zones. But with construction comes traffic-pattern changes, and drivers need to pay more attention.
