HIGH SPRINGS, Fla. – A bicyclist from High Springs was killed on Wednesday in a crash in Alachua County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the 56-year-old man was riding his bike on U.S. 441 at Northwest 212th Avenue when a 2003 Ford Taurus hit the back of his bike. The impact of the crash threw the man off his bike.

FHP found the man had died at the scene around 10:15 p.m. The woman driving the car suffered minor injuries in the crash.
