JSO: Car slams into oil change store in Goodby's Creek

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was taken to Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries Thursday morning after a crash in Goodby's Creek.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, a car slammed into the front of Take 5 Oil Change at the intersection of San Jose Boulevard and Baymeadows Road.

The store was blocked off around 3 a.m. during the investigation.

There were no other passengers in the car, said Sgt. Hendley with JSO.

The manager of the store was at the scene after he was notified of the crash.

He told News4Jax that the store will remain closed until professionals inspect the building and determine that it's safe to reopen.
