A motorcyclist died after a three-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 295, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported about 12:30 p.m. on I-295 near Baymeadows Road.
Troopers said a motorcycle ridden by Chris Michael Allen, 43, of Jacksonville, hit the back of a pickup truck, careened into a semi truck's trailer and burst into flames.
Allen was taken to Memorial Hospital, but he did not survive.
No one else was hurt.
