5 hurt, 1 critical in JTA bus crash

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Five people were injured, one critically, in a crash Monday morning between a Jacksonville Transportation Authority bus and a car on the Westside, according to Jacksonville Fire-Rescue.

The crash happened at 9:45 a.m. at Cassat Avenue and Normandy Boulevard.

The driver of the car was taken to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center in critical condition.

Two others were also taken to Shands, while the other two were taken to Baptist Medical Center.

Details of what caused the crash were not immediately available.
