JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A school bus was involved in a crash downtown Monday afternoon.

The Durham bus and a Dodge car were traveling south on Main Street, a three-lane road, at about 2:30 p.m.

Police said the bus was in the left lane and the car was in the middle lane when the car tried to make an improper left turn into the school bus' lane, causing the bus to hit the car on its driver's side.

The car and the bus were damaged.

Twelve children were on the bus at the time of the crash, but none were injured. They were transferred to another school bus.

The driver of the car and the bus were transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
