Section of CR-220 closed for emergency repairs

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – Emergency sewer main repairs on County Road 220 at Southlake Drive, between College Drive and Swimming Pin Creek, began at 7 a.m. Tuesday. This may affect students traveling to Doctors Inlet and Swimming Pen Creek elementary schools.

There will be road shifts and cones along C.R. 220 between Sleepy Hallow Road and Yarmouth Drive. Traffic from Black Creek Park-n-Ride to Yarmouth Drive will be impacted for about four weeks, weather permitting.

Crews have to dig up part of the road and go down about 20 feet to access the sewer line.

Drivers in the road are told to expect heavy traffic and delays during peak hours and urge people to allow extra travel time and pay close attention to the traffic signs in the area.

Anyone with questions is asked to call the Clay County Utility Authority at 904-272-5999.
