Teen arrested in hit-and-run of bicyclist

61-year-old seriously hurt in crash

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. - Charges are pending against a 19-year-old Palm Coast man after state troopers said the car he was driving struck a bicyclist then left the scene.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Marquise Norwood was driving east on Palm Coast Parkway, west of Florida Park Drive, just before 8 a.m. Monday and didn't see 61-year-old Terrance Conley, who was also riding his bike eastbound.

Troopers said Norwood's car hit Conley, who was thrown from the bike. They said Norwood left the scene but was later found in the Daytona State College parking lot.

Conley was flown to Halifax Trauma Unit with serious injuries. Troopers said he was not wearing a helmet.
